The Sage Line 50 conversion program creates two new nominal codes for reconfigured Sales and Purchase transactions.
If you have the default nominal ledger structure in your old program, the codes will be 9997 for æReconfigured PurchasesÆ and 9996 for æReconfigured SalesÆ. If you do not have the default nominal ledger structure the conversion program will find your Suspense account nominal code and work backwards from the Suspense account number until it finds the first free nominal code.
Each time the conversion program finds a reconfigured transaction it will unreconfigure it by removing the æXXXXXXÆ and inserting the new Sales or Purchase reconfigured nominal code. You may have more transactions on your audit trail after the conversion program has finished with a description of æReconfigured JournalÆ, but this does not affect your Trial Balance.

The conversion program places the monthly balances into the relevant æbucketÆ on each Customer and Supplier Record, Sales or Purchase window. These monthly balances are calculated from the Gross values of the transactions on your audit trail.
If you have reconfigured in your previous Sage program these values will not be accurate, but any transactions you post when you start using your new Sage Line 50 program will show in the correct monthly æBucketÆ.

Transactions from your old Sage program that have the same date and reference are grouped together on your Customers, Suppliers and Nominal activity report and are shown as one transaction, (known as the header). If you want to look at the individual items that make up this transaction (i.e. the transaction split) double click on the transaction you require in the Activity report.
If an invoice has been paid, the payment amount appears in the æAmountÆ column and the description æUpgraded Tr.Æ appears as the æDetailsÆ for the transaction in the transaction split.

Part payment transactions from your old Sage program will have the description of æamount outstandingÆ and the value removed from the transaction history reports during the conversion. Your new Sage Line 50 for Windows program will display the value as part of the æheaderÆ information in the new O/S column in the Activity report, and the amount that has been paid will appear as a transaction with a description of æUpgraded Tr.Æ in the transaction split.

(Financial Controller and Accountant Plus users only.) The conversion program places the monthly balances into the relevant æbucketÆ of each Product code. These monthly values are calculated from the Product History. These monthly values will not be accurate if you have run a Stock Month End in your previous program. However, any transactions you post in your new Sage Line 50 program will be placed in the correct monthly æBucketÆ.
